This facility is built to make money and if patient care occurs, cherry on top. The facility is very disorganized and doesn't really treat it's patients as people as much as problems. Would not recommend if you have a choice.
I would better trust trained baboons to be in charge of my mental health than the morons with college degrees that maintain and run this particular mental health facility. While my perception is not complete, I have had experience in different capacities within the mental health system in Indiana and other states, so I am a little more qualified to speak my mind on this particular topic. I have so many examples of the ineptitude of this facility, but right now my mind is focused on a certain "dropped ball" I went inpatient because I needed an anti anxiety drug that was prescribed to me and was unable to get because Four County screwed the pooch so badly. After I was inpatient they required I take Geodon and Lithium. Both gave me horrible physical and mental side effects. After leaving in patient, my family doctor and pharmacist said I should stop taking Geodon and I did. Then they DC'd my Ativan because I missed a meeting with my case manager Paul, because I was ANXIOUS. Oh well, I went to CVS because my Lithium was supposed to be there and lo and behold, the morons that run Four County screwed the pooch again and my Lithium, which causes bad withdrawals, was not there. I left and went straight to Peace of Mind LLC, filled out some paperwork and I had an appointment before the on I had scheduled with four county. And after all that, they gave me some Dove chocolate. For the love of God, avoid the rat trap that is Four County under all circumstances.
As a nurse this is the worst facility I have ever dealt with. The VA and 4county should be combined since their concern for patient care is about the same.
As a patient, I can tell you they have no regard for my mental health well being. I was on a medication regime for 4 years that was working well. Apparently they feel the need to shake up your doctors every few months. New one just cut me off. No discussion. Already filed with their "complaint" line, but no one calls you back. Now here it is a month later and still nothing is resolved. What a waste of my time. Only good people there are receptionists and caseworkers but they aren't given any authority to help with anything. Maybe some state oversight is called for. Just sayin.
