Our family has always had an enjoyable, relaxing time here. With grills already in place, it's easy to spend a whole day here doing nothing but enjoying the ambiance.

This is a beach and group campsite, and more importantly, the only group campsite in the park. However, it is intended for nonprofits with children. This creates a number of problems, because if you want to go with more than 12 people it starts to look like your only option. Further, alcohol is not allowed in this area of the park. Also, the person who confirms you are a nonprofit was very demanding and rude, and lastly most of the people at the park don't even know this is also a campsite, not just a beach.

Love taking the whole family, including the fur babies, to enjoy camping, playgrounds, walking about, the beach, and the great outdoors. Trick or Treating for Halloween was perfect! Our 3 year old had the best time!

All in all, the trip was a ton of fun and I'd gladly go back again, but if the people running the park intend to be so particular about the rules for the site I feel that they should also offer alternative options for group camping than just Youth Tent Sites.

We love camping here. Two things I’d like to see improved: 1. The beach building to be updated. It is old and very run down. The store seems pieces together inside a crumbling structure. 2. The disc golf course to be mowed more regularly.

What did this mean for me? Well, 2 weeks before I went I was told I would have to confirm my nonprofit status by mail, or would lose the reservation. Okay, sure I understand. Could they have asked for this proof via email, or by mail when I made the reservation 6 months prior? Would've made my life easier. Then we get there, and immediately meet with the DNR officer on site because "there were a bunch of teenagers drinking and camping on the beach" both of which were false. The DNR officer was very helpful and polite, as he'd been through it all many times before.

Love this place! So many memories, such good times.
